An Tostal Art 2011
This year as An Tóstal celebrates it 59th year. We are pleased to announce that Art section of the An Tóstal which has been a part of the An Tóstal for many decades will this year be staged as a showcase for the regions creativity.
Thomas G. Flynn a local architect, based in Drumcong, a previous winner at An Tóstal on many occasions during his school days hopes his sponsorship of ‘An Tóstal Art’ will help establish it as an integral part of the annual festivities. Giving encouragement to young artists & showcasing the creative artistic talents of not just the surrounding locality, but the wider region. The official opening of the exhibition will take place at 7pm on Friday 3rd June followed by a wine reception.
The art exhibition is open to all ages & all types of visual art from drawing, painting, printing, mixed media to sculpture, ceramics & glass. There are two main Categories: (1) Junior artists under 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 16, 18. (2) Artists 18 & upwards. An entry fee for under 18s of €2.50 towards framing & a fee of €5 per piece (max 3 pieces) for 18 & upwards.
Submissions for the exhibition will be received at the exhibition space on Saturday 28th May between 12 noon & 4pm. Size restrictions apply

Prizes: under 4-10 €25 prize in each category, under 12-16 €50 prize in each category & under 18 €100 prize. 18 & upwards category €250 for art work judged best in exhibition. The Prizes winners will be announced & presented with there prize on the Sunday evening after the parade.
The Judging panel is made up of the sponsor & three invited artists based in County Leitrim Marie Lee, Carmel Baker & Helen Pinoff.
The exhibition will take place in Unit 2 Drumshanbo Business Park & will run from Friday 3rd June till Sunday 12th June. Daily from 12 noon to 8pm Fri- Mon & 1-5pm Tue.-Thur.
